“I learned what felt like an infinite amount of information during my internship. Whether it was cyber security concepts, computer science concepts, or business practices, I learned a ton. The community of people is great. It’s a very enjoyable place to be. Just getting real world experiences and being given important tasks was a great experience.”

“Dwyer has been such an amazing experience, one that I will never forget. I’ve learned so many things throughout my time here and met some great people along the way. The culture that Dwyer has is one of a kind; they truly care about your success and want to see you grow. I’m so thankful to get to be a part of the Dwyer Family! I would highly recommend this program to anyone!”

“Dwyer has a fantastic internship program that gets you integrated with how an engineering industry operates. Dwyer makes it easy to learn processes of the workplace in an office setting, as well as the hands-on manufacturing and engineering side that could both be utilized by my engineering degree. It was effortless to grow and try different aspects of each department to see where my perfect fit would be. Dwyer creates the ultimate balance of working on pressing high importance projects in a timely manner and provides great direction and leadership to complete those tasks appropriately. I have gained a lot of satisfaction from seeing the projects I’ve worked so hard on be utilized to help the company grow and increase our success worldwide. The people that work here are smart, hard-working, and make you feel like you’re involved in one big family. The intern events and company activities that Dwyer organizes are so much fun and really bring us all together in a great bonding experience.  I’m very thankful for Dwyer being accommodating and flexible with my hours while I was a full time student, and for helping me obtain a large skill set throughout my internship. There was a lot of knowledge and experience that I gained from this internship that helped me be successful, which led to my full time position. I can’t wait to see how much further I can grow with the company!”

“Working for Dwyer was a great experience where I was able to apply knowledge I learned in school, along with a lot of new knowledge acquired from hands on experience. This experience was both enjoyable and very beneficial for my understanding of real-world engineering. The company culture enhanced this because of their support for individual growth and sharing knowledge, which enabled me to succeed on interesting projects. The projects I worked on truly helped to move the company forward, and this was a very rewarding feeling that made this internship unique and very enjoyable.”

“Interning at Dwyer was an incredible experience. I worked with great people in a fast-paced company in a fast-growing industry. I was exposed to all aspects of a manufacturing business, from the factory floor to presentations to executives. There are an incredible amount of opportunities in instrumentation, and I was happy to accept a field sales engineering position shortly after my internship concluded. I can’t recommend Dwyer highly enough!”

-Jacob R., Valparaiso University

“As an intern in the Product Management department at Dwyer Instruments, Dwyer provided me with more beneficial opportunities and experiences than I could have ever imagined. Since the day I began working at Dwyer, I was assigned many projects, all of which had a meaningful role within the company. Dwyer also allowed me to work within multiple departments, allowing me to gain many diverse experiences and work with a large variety of talented Dwyer employees. Although being an intern can be intimidating, at Dwyer I always felt comfortable approaching anyone with questions, whether it was other interns or the president of the company. After spending only a few months in the internship program at Dwyer, I was able to build lasting relationships and develop essential skills to be successful in the future.”

-Trevor G., Valparaiso University

“I began my time at Dwyer Instruments working as an intern in the drafting department.  During that time, I was able to expand immensely on my critical thinking skills that college aimed to teach me. This continued when I was given the opportunity to work in the machine shop in a more tactile environment.  Dwyer really enabled me to grow and expand my skillset by providing the freedom of being able to work in two different departments as an intern.  I was included in multiple aspects of the team which allowed me to become more professional as I transitioned from the classroom into a full time career.  This exposure also allowed me to meet more of the world class staff we have here at Dwyer.  Through the relationships that developed from this, I’ve had the privilege of being mentored and have had wonderful coworkers that strive to improve themselves and members of their team such as myself.  In the future, the hard work and ethics from Dwyer have inspired me to pass these experiences on to future generations of Dwyer interns.

“Along with being an employee oriented company, Dwyer Instruments has a professional environment and a family type atmosphere with excellent training initiatives. Starting in Dwyer’s internship program during college gave me a taste of career opportunities within the organization. The internship gave me a great jump-start at starting a Sales Engineering career with Dwyer. I have transitioned from the internship program, to an Inside Sales Engineer role, and now a Field Sales Engineer role. I am consistently growing, expanding my responsibilities, and learning new things. There are always new challenges and incredible growth potentials for both the company and myself.”

“A benefit of my internship was gaining a large sum of time operating Solidworks and learning about plastic injection mold design. The skills I acquired at Dwyer allowed me to lead the CAD design of my senior project when I went back to school (we got an A!). The most important part of my internship was building a relationship with Dwyer. Dwyer remembered me and reached out with a job offering in the summer of 2012. I accepted and my employment at Dwyer has been more rewarding than I can express in type. We have recently revamped our internship program. The pay is very good and the experience is priceless. Interns are exposed to all aspects of the business from sales, design, quality, marketing, manufacturing, etc. An internship at Dwyer will make you a more capable and valuable employee, no matter what your discipline is.”
