“I began my time at Dwyer Instruments working as an intern in the drafting department. During that time, I was able to expand immensely on my critical thinking skills that college aimed to teach me. This continued when I was given the opportunity to work in the machine shop in a more tactile environment. “A benefit of my internship was gaining a large sum of time operating Solidworks and learning about plastic injection mold design. The skills I acquired at Dwyer allowed me to lead the CAD design of my senior project when I went back to school (we got an A!). The most important part of my internship was building a relationship with Dwyer. Dwyer remembered me and reached out with a job offering in the summer of 2012. I accepted and my employment at Dwyer has been more rewarding than I can express in type. We have recently revamped our internship program. The pay is very good and the experience is priceless.
